Web 2.0-ifying logos

YayHooray recently had a thread mocking the current trends in Web 2.0 logos. Participants took regular logos, and gave them a sarcastic Web 2.0 treatment. Many of the results where hilarious, and most were very well done, too. After someone Dugg the thread, a swarm of clueless people from the internet joined the group to ask for free logos, so in true YayHooray fashion, they started a second thread to mock those people by making free logos for each other, but not them. You can see a bunch of them on flickr here. You can also see a giant wallpaper of real Web 2.0 logos on flickr here.

Anyway, enough background. I got into the whole idea, and here are several of my own attempts.

Thanks for the entertaining links! I run a small design studio as well, in Minnesota, and we've been watching with amusement some of these design trends that are already wearing thin.

It's funny how fast these things come and go on the internet, isn't it?

Though I have to admit, it's a lot of fun to make logos like this, mostly because it breaks so many of the normal rules of creating a good logo.
