DoodleKit

Doodlekit looks interesting. Built-in forums, photo sharing, with an option for custom CSS. If they included a few more things that are standard with most CMSes, like calendars, e-commerce, and some more community features, I think they'd have a solid hit.

Plus, they're in Kansas City, which is almost like being local.

I've e-mailed them some questions, we'll see what they have to say.

EDIT: Ben replied very quickly, and was quite friendly. He was very nice about me completely missing some of the features listed on the site (must not blog on no sleep/bad flu...). I think tomorrow I'll sign up for the 30-day demo. I'll post results here.
